Hi! I am Patty and welcome to Girlfriends in God.
Come on in and make yourself comfortable. I have been blogging for a little over a year. My idea for this blog is to hopefully encourage people who happen upon my blog. I want it to be as comfortable as if you were sitting in my living room talking about the Lord, our families, any problems we may be facing, recipes, shopping, all the things we women talk about! I also find it an honor to pray for those who ask me to. I have a friend , Georgia at My Big Fat Greek Life in the South, who lives with my family. She is a spiritual daughter of mine. A little info on myself. I have been divorced for 11 years. I have 2 teenage sons. I am a single mom, God healed me from cancer. I have homeschooled my sons for 10 years. My family just moved to Middle Tennessee 4 months ago and we love it. I am not sure what God is leading me to do but I do want to follow Him and pray that He will give me the courage to do so. I have felt for 3 years that God wants me to write a book to encourage women. If I can help one person by sharing what I have been through and how God has delivered me then it was all worth it.
I also like to find and share recipes. The blogosphere is the best place to find recipes. It is also a great place to "meet" new friends. I have met a lot of my blogging buddies at Living Proof Live events and other women conferences. Real women with real challenges and who love the Lord. I host GodStop Fridays. It is a day we set aside to come and share how God has shown Himself to us through the week. Savoring the Observable Presence. God shows Himself to us in so many different ways throughout the week. We are trying to be intentional in watching for Him in how He chooses to reveal Himself to us each week. Giving Him the Glory!

I haven't tried the Symphony Brownies, but they look irresistable. that's what I'm afraid of, anyway!
I learned some interesting things about you. Didn't realize that you homeschool. I do too and it's been great for our family. However, I have 2 daughters that think they are missing out on something great by not being in school. Patty, it's so neat that you want to live for God and to do His Will. With that attitude, you are probably doing His Will right now with all the things He is having you do involving your family, friends, church, your blog and ministry.
