I am thankful for last week. Holy week is one of my favorite times of the year. I am thankful that at our Maundy Thursday service that a sweet woman who had never been in a church her entire life came that night with a friend and gave her heart to Christ!!
I am thankful that Jesus died for our sins. That there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.
I am thankful for our home and cars and clothes and food that God provides for us. It breaks my heart to know there are homeless people in this world. This saying is so true, no matter how bad we think we have it there is always someone worse off.
I am thankful for my time in God's Word. I am thankful that God speaks to us in His Word.
I am thankful for how God answers prayers. Especially the ones my best friend and I have been praying about. I am thankful for how God is moving in their lives and one specific situation.
I am thankful for my friends.
I am thankful that for Spring. I love this time of year and look forward to planting flowers and working outside. I am also thankful for the warmer temps this week.
I am thankful to get up in the mornings and enjoy the sunrise and to hear the birds singing. Last week I woke up all hours of the night and early morning because of a bad storm. The thing that I noticed was the birds that were singing in spite of the terrible storm that morning. Reminded me that God keeps us hidden in the shadow of His Wings and while there we can sing because we know He is our Deliverer in any storm we face. Our Refuge in times of trouble!

I so agree with what you said - "No matter how bad we think we have it there is always someone worse off."
I'm trying to get this through to my kids, but they are just having a hard time believing it. I think as they get more involved in volunteering, community outreach, and mission trips they will understand better the truth to that statement. They are still young and concerned about not having closets filled with brand new clothes and a Wii.

What a wonderful illustration! God can give us His peace and His joy so we can sing in the midst of ANY storm of life! Praise His Almighty Name!

I saw on your profile that you are a college football fan. I love the Vol/Dawg rivalry. Two of my uncles live around Knoxville, so we have fun during that time of the year jabbing at each other.

Very sweet post. You indeed have a lot to be thankful for. Easter is one of my favorite times too. It must have been powerful to see the women come to church who had never been and gave thier life to Christ right then!
